Sculptures In The Scrub Walking Track, located in Timallallie National Park in Baradine, offers a unique opportunity to explore the award-winning Sculptures In The Scrub project.
The project, a collaboration with local Aboriginal Elders and young people, showcases sculptures that tell the story of Aboriginal history and culture.
During your walk along the 4 km Sculptures In The Scrub walking track, take a moment to appreciate the sculptures and learn about the artist's background and the deeper meaning behind each piece. Informative boards are placed beside each sculpture, providing insights into their creation methods and significance. These sculptures beautifully represent the Aboriginal culture.
Adjacent to the walking track, you'll find the Sculptures in the Scrub picnic area and campground. This area is a great spot to rest, enjoy a picnic, and observe native wildlife while taking in the park's stunning beauty.
The Sculptures In The Scrub Walking Track is open year-round, making it accessible at any time.
To reach the walking track, take the Newell Highway to Baradine and then turn onto Timallallie Road. Continue driving until you reach the Sculptures In The Scrub Picnic Area, where you can park your car and begin your exploration of the walking track.
