Sleepy Bay

Sleepy Bay is a picturesque destination located within Freycinet National Park in Tasmania, Australia.

Visitors can enjoy the contrasting colors of the water and orange in the rock formations while taking a lovely walk from the car park down to the water's edge. Besides Sleepy Bay, Coles Bay, where it is located, is a pretty coastal town framed by the rugged pink-hued granite peaks of the Hazards mountains and the sheltered waters of Great Oyster Bay.

Coles Bay and Freycinet are hubs for outdoor experiences such as sea kayaking, taking a cruise to Wineglass Bay, joining a luxury sailing and walking experience, taking a scenic flight over the Peninsula, or trying a four-wheel drive or quad bike adventure. Freycinet National Park is a year-round destination with a mild climate. Spring (September-November) is an excellent time to visit Freycinet as the weather is pleasant, and there are fewer crowds. The coastal woodlands are beautiful in spring when colorful wildflowers blossom and release gorgeous floral aromas in the air.
