Nestled in the lush rainforest, Somersby Falls Picnic Area in Somersby is an ideal escape for a day trip with family and friends.

It offers opportunities for picnicking, bushwalking, and birdwatching. The picnic area features free barbecue facilities and picnic tables, with plenty of space to set up your own rug and chairs. The car park offers spots for picnicking under the shade of tall trees or near the cascades of Floods Creek. The area is also the starting point of the Somersby Falls walking track, a 500m return track that meanders through the cool rainforest and offers views of the waterfalls. The best time to visit is during autumn and spring, and it is advisable to carry plenty of water if visiting in summer. The picnic area is located in the Somersby region of the Central Coast, approximately an hour and a half by car from Sydney central business district.
