Stasinowsky's Landing is a picturesque historical site located in Loxton North, offering visitors a glimpse into the life of local pioneer Fred Stasinowsky and his family.
Visitors can observe the landing, which was used by the Stasinowsky family to ship timber from their sawmill to Adelaide. The Loxton Pumping Station is also visible on the right-hand side of the landing. The site is accessible year-round, and visitors can enjoy a picnic, take a scenic stroll, and learn more about the local pioneer history by reading the monument at the site. The best time to visit is during the warm months, from October to April. Loxton North is about a 2.5-hour drive from Adelaide, and visitors can easily reach the site by following the Sturt Highway through Waikerie and taking the turnoff to Loxton. Stasinowsky's Landing is a must-visit historic site, offering stunning views of the River Murray and serving as an excellent spot for a picnic or a relaxing stroll.
