Stonecroft is a small, family-owned winery located in the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowing District in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
This winery which is situated 8 km west of Hastings, has been certified organic and produces about 3,000 cases of wine yearly.

Stonecroft is known for its certified organic Gimblett Gravels wines that are produced with grapes grown using only organic practices. The winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Stonecroft's wines are known for their intensity, elegance, and fruit-driven taste. They are also capable of significant bottle development, as demonstrated over the last two decades, with many early examples still drinkable. Stonecroft has the oldest Syrah vines in New Zealand.
Visiting Stonecroft
Visitors who are wine lovers are welcome to the rustic Cellar Door at Stonecroft to taste wine and learn about the history of the winery. Picnickers are welcome to use the grounds and enjoy the wines with their picnic baskets. Meanwhile, Stonecroft offers a wine club where members can receive their favorite Stonecroft wines delivered to their door every 3, 6, or 12 months.
When to Go
Stonecroft is open seven days a week from 11 am to 4:30 pm except for some public holidays, so there’s no specific season to visit. Although, if you want to see the winery come to life, it's recommended to visit in Autumn, between March and May, as it’s a busy season for grape harvesting.

Stonecroft is conveniently located about 8 km west of Hastings. It is accessible by car, and there is parking available. The closest airport is the Hawke's Bay Airport in Napier, which is an approximately 20-minute drive to the winery. There are car rental services available at the airport. Meanwhile, public transport options are limited, so it's advised to arrange private transportation to the winery.
