Located in Sorrento, Victoria, Australia, Sullivan Bay is a unique travel destination due to its historic origins.
It was established as a convict settlement in 1803 by Lieutenant-Colonel David Collins, making it the first settlement in Victoria by English settlers. The bay was named after the Under-Secretary of State for War and the Colonies, John Sullivan. Although the settlement was short-lived due to a lack of fresh water and poor soil quality, Sullivan Bay remains a significant part of Victoria's history.
