Description
Located in Airlie Beach, the Airlie Creek Track is an 850 metre walk that takes you on a peaceful journey through a tranquil forest, featuring rare flora and fauna.
As you start your journey up the hill, you will wind along a gravel path that is surrounded by beautiful native birds, sub-tropical plants and magnificent fig trees. The track leads you to the natural rock pools at the end, where you can unwind and spend some time swimming in the crystal-clear waters. Along the way, you can spot the rare flora and fauna, including the Whitsunday Bottle Tree and the endangered Proserpine Rock Wallaby.
The Airlie Creek Track is located just behind Airlie Beach and can be accessed easily from Waterson Way. If you are staying in Airlie Beach, you can reach the start point by walking or cycling. If you are driving, you can park your car in the car park at the bottom of the hill.
Allow one hour for the complete journey, including spending some time relaxing at the natural rock pools.
