Margaret River’s most creative range of fruit-based wines, offering tastings of over 40 gourmet products at the cottage-style cellar door with family-friendly café and two kid’s adventure playgrounds.
Since 1986, The Berry Farm’s vast range of fruit-based sparkling, still, fortified, dessert wine and liquors has been delighting Margaret River visitors from near and far. The Cellar Door and Café are housed in an original settler’s group home, built circa 1925. Surrounded by stunning cottage gardens, berry trees and native birds, this is the perfect place to discover flavoursome wine styles you never imagined possible, while the kids have a blast on the property’s two adventure playgrounds.
The Wines
Known for creating something a little different in the region, The Berry Farm creates wines of all styles, forms and flavours from fruits other than just the humble grape. There are sparkling wines made from strawberries, fortified and dessert wines made from berry pressings, a range of ciders and more. All products are made onsite.
Wine Tasting
Everyone is invited to taste over forty wines and gourmet products including The Berry Farm’s homemade jams, preserves, sauces and syrups, which are as popular as the wines. A children’s corner is ideal to entertain the kids. Open daily 10am – 4pm.
The Food
Surrounded by elegant, rose-filled flower gardens, the well-loved café serves up tasty, country fare daily for morning tea and lunch. Sweet-tooths will love the fresh-baked scones, boysenberry pies and cakes. Savoury lovers can’t go past the beef and red wine pie or classic toasties. Bookings are highly recommended. Lunch available 11.30am to 3pm daily.
Unique Highlights
In the warmer summer months, keep a look out for the garden’s ripe raspberries, strawberries, currants, blueberries, mulberries and gooseberries that can be picked and enjoyed. Farm-fresh avocados can also be purchased at the Cellar Door when in season. Kids will love the playgrounds, dogs (on leashes) are welcome too.
