Description
The former pub, ‘The Floreat’ has been reconfigured to improve circulation, utilize outdoor space, and provide a relaxed yet evocative atmosphere for various inter-related spaces. 2011.
The primary objectives in the refurbishment of this neighbourhood pub were to improve the flow in and around the venue, make better use of its outdoor space and imbue it with a more relaxed ambience befitting its relative proximity to the coast. Simple and robust materials with an earthy palette have been used, albeit in innovative ways, to compose a timeless, textured and evocative setting for a variety of activities. Formerly ‘The Floreat’, the pub has been reconfigured internally to provide a more cohesive series of inter-related spaces including the lounge, the central bar, internal dining, verandah and pool area.
