The Narrow Place lookout

The Narrow Place Lookout Olney is a scenic vantage point in the Hunter region that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Originally named by the local Hall family, the site is easily accessible by car and popular with 4WD tourers and trekkers. Positioned high amidst dry grassy woodland, the lookout provides scenic northern views over Hunter Valley towns. Visitors can experience a truly idyllic spot that offers inspiration for photographers, sightseers, and trekkers alike. The lookout can be visited year-round, with the best time to go being during the cooler months between March and September. It is easily accessible by car and located approximately 2.5 hours' drive north from Sydney. Visitors can also access the site on foot as part of the Great North walk.
