The Nunnery

The Nunnery is a guest house located in central Te Aroha, New Zealand.

Built in 1977, it was formerly a nunnery but has since been renovated to include modern amenities such as air conditioning, comfortable guest rooms with TV and cooking facilities, quality linen, fittings, and generous off-street parking. The interior of the building features Rimu timber both in the trimmings and for the in-built furniture.

The guest house offers a wheelchair-friendly, fully independent studio unit, as well as the Pohutukawa Suite, which boasts Te Aroha's largest Pohutukawa tree outside. The main accommodation wing consists of three double and two single bedrooms with washbasins and heat pumps, and guests have access to a guest lounge. The communal lounge area provides heating, a TV, and comfortable sofas. Additionally, there is a shared kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster. Outside, guests can enjoy a shared patio with BBQ facilities.

Conveniently, The Nunnery Te Aroha is located within a 5-minute drive of the Te Aroha Leisure Pools and Te Aroha District Museum.
