Description
The Three Mile Creek Shared Path is a 1.7 kilometre walking and cycling path in Wangaratta, Victoria.
It is part of the city's network of shared paths and offers a scenic route for exploration.
Along the path, you will find connections to schools, child and aged care facilities, golf courses, and the Waldara area. The surroundings are filled with beautiful bushland, nature reserves, and revegetated areas that provide habitats for various bird species, including water and tree-dwelling birds. There is also a chance to spot frogs, reptiles, and even a platypus if you're lucky.
The path is accessible year-round, with the creek waters typically flowing except during very dry summers. Spring and autumn are particularly popular times to visit when the weather is mild.
To access the Three Mile Creek Shared Path, you can enter through the One Mile Creek shared path or from the north end of Appin Street where the One Mile and Three Mile Creek tracks meet. From there, you can follow the path to the western bank at Edwards Street, which connects to North Beaches via College Street. Alternatively, you can continue on the path to Williams Road. The path is easily accessible by foot or bike.
