A fully accessible picnic area is available for visitors to relax and enjoy a meal. The reserve offers an easy two-kilometre walk on flat gravel paths and boardwalks, providing opportunities to observe native plants, birds, and koalas. Tilligerry Habitat Tanilba Bay is open year-round, from dawn to dusk, and is best visited during daylight hours. The reserve is located just over two hours from Sydney and about 25 minutes from Newcastle, with ample parking facilities available on-site.
