Tongariro Adventures Lodge is located half-way between Auckland and Wellington, at the heart of the Tongariro Adventure playground. The Lodge is situated on the South Western shores of Lake Taupo, in Maori, this is ‘Turangawaewae’ – translated, ‘Our Place in the World.’ Kuratau is surrounded by lush gardens and is 20 minutes' drive from both Lake Kuratau and Turangi Golf Club. It is 40 minutes' drive from Whakapapa Ski Field. Guests can hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, located 35 minutes' drive from the property, or enjoy a variety of other hiking trails in the area.
