Description
Tophouse Historic Inn is a heritage-listed boutique hotel located near St Arnaud and Nelson Lakes National Park in New Zealand's South Island.
Established in 1887, it served as a hub and the heart of the crossroads. Guests can enjoy fabulous mountain views from the guesthouse or the chalet veranda.
Accommodation options at Tophouse Historic Inn include bed and breakfast, cottages, and parking for motorhomes. The bed and breakfast features four guestrooms, including two queen rooms, one double room, and one twin room. The rooms are tastefully styled for their vintage and are cozy, although they are not large as they were not built big in 1887. Two bathrooms and two separate toilets are shared among the four guestrooms. The bed and breakfast is not suitable for babies or children under 8 years of age.
The cottages are fully self-contained and each has two bedrooms, sleeping 4-5 depending on configuration. An additional stretcher bed can be supplied on request.
Guests at Tophouse Historic Inn can enjoy a full continental breakfast with bacon and eggs. Dinner can be booked with 24 hours' notice at the family-friendly restaurant that specializes in local cuisine. The inn also has a picnic area and a barbecue.
