Town Beach

Located in Exmouth is the beautiful sandy Town Beach, which is the closest and most accessible beach from the town centre.

It is just a short walk away from cafes, shops, and restaurants. The beach provides a safe place for swimming, especially during high tide, and is perfect for a family day out.

Town Beach is a great place to spend the day and offers a range of activities to keep visitors entertained. It is possible to drive a four-wheel drive vehicle right onto the beach, enabling you to set up your day in comfort. Take a stroll along the picturesque white sand at low tide and discover the many treasures and shells that the ocean has left behind. Water sports such as windsurfing are popular activities on this beach, and it is not unusual to find many taking part in the sport. Additionally, a yacht club located right on the beach allows for regular yachting activities.

The best time to visit Town Beach is between March and November when the weather is dry and comfortable. Visitors can also witness the annual humpback whale migration occurring from July until October when the whales can be seen near the shore at Town Beach.

Exmouth is located 1270km north of Perth and is accessible by road or air. Drive north up the North West coastal highway and turn left onto Murat Road, which will lead you to the Town Beach car park. Alternatively, flights are available from Perth to Learmonth Airport, which is located approximately 36km from Exmouth, and car rentals are available from the airport. From there, visitors can drive to the beach.
