Two Rivers of Marlborough winery in New Zealand is situated in the heart of the beautiful Marlborough wine region.
The winery takes its name from the two beautiful rivers that flow through the heart of the valley, which are instrumental in the growth of grapes used to produce the winery's beautiful wines. With 25 years of international winemaking experience, the founder and wine maker David Clouston established the winery in 2004, specializing in producing elegant, pure wines that have an undeniable sense of place.
Winery Tour and Tasting
Visitors to the winery can book a private tour which includes a wine tasting experience from tanks as well as bottled wines from Two Rivers themselves. The visit may include tastings of concrete egg tanks, barrels, large French oak cuves and clay amphoras, making it a unique and special wine-tasting experience. With plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from, Picton is a great destination for a day trip or weekend getaway.
When to go and how to get there
Two Rivers of Marlborough winery is open to visitors year-round. The best time to visit the winery is from December to February when the Marlborough region experiences warm and sunny weather. The town of Blenheim is located only 7km from the winery, and visitors can fly to Blenheim airport from major New Zealand cities or drive from Christchurch in around 4 hours. Alternatively, visitors can take the scenic ferry from Wellington to Picton and drive to the winery, which takes approximately 30 minutes.
