Location and History
Located at 20 Herbert Street, Greymouth, New Zealand, the Union Hotel is a classic West Coast establishment that has stood on this site since 1889.
It was built by John and Catherine Shannahan and operated as a hotel until 1919. The hotel has been home to Jim and Rosemarie Toal and their families and friends for the past 40 years.
Food and Drinks
The Union Hotel offers traditional Kiwi cuisine at reasonable prices. The Raceway Carvery is the hotel's restaurant, offering home-cooked meals and dishes. With every main meal, diners receive a free soup, adding more value to the dining experience.
The hotel has a bar offering eight beers and Speight's Cider on tap. Customers can choose from a variety of drinks from the chillers too. There are big screen TVs visible from anywhere in the bar, providing the perfect excuse to catch your favourite sport and join the great atmosphere.
