Welcome to the Gaagal Wanggaan (Beach South) Tour, where you can explore the serene and beautiful wawaa (bush) and Gaagal (ocean) surrounds for 3.5 hours. During the tour, you'll be connected to the wajaarr (earth), biindarray (rivers) and gaagal (ocean) as you learn about the rich culture and heritage of the Gumbaynggirr people.
You'll hear creation stories, bush tucker demonstrations, traditional fish trapping methods and totems, and learn about traditional food sources, medicinal plants and threatened species. You'll also get to learn the Gumbaynggirr language and identify native plant species. Plus, the tour is family friendly and disabled accessible, so everyone can enjoy the authentic Indigenous experience.
