Description

Explore the newly-renovated Wadjemup Museum and learn about the rich history of the island through its collection of artefacts, audio, contemporary artworks and sculptures.

Built with Nyoongar labour in 1857 by Henry Vincent, today the museum displays a comprehensive exhibition of the main themes on the island; natural history, marine wrecks, European settlement, Aboriginal prisoners, communications and recreation. It also houses a theatrette, a wealth of historical photographs and an interactive touchscreen experience for kids.

In addition, visit Sculpture at Wadjemup, a collection of sculptures by renowned WA artists.
