The perfect place to set up camp and explore Jurien Bay Marine Park and the stunning coastline.
Enjoy pristine beaches at Wedge and Grey where you can explore the Jurien Bay Marine Park and go swimming, surfing, snorkelling and four-wheel driving. Kangaroo Point is popular for shore fishing and boating and Hangover Bay is perfect for snorkelling, swimming, windsurfing and surfing.
Explore the Pinnacles Desert with its thousands of huge limestone pillars rising up from the yellow sand.
There are many unmarked day-use sites along the coast where you’ll find fishing spots, surfing and places for other nature based activities such as bird watching and beach combing.
CampingWanagarren campground has 15 campsites suitable for tents, rooftop & awning tents only and must be booked online. All campsites are only suitable for campers who are completely self-sufficient. Facilities, water and firewood are not provided. Campfires are permitted seasonally (usually April - October) and in provided fire rings only. Campers must bring their own portable chemical toilet.
Wanagarren Campground is within a nature reserve and there may be crawling insects including kangaroo ticks.
Getting thereAccess to Wanagarren Nature Reserve is via Indian Ocean Drive and Grey Spur Road. Access to the campsites is for high-clearance four-wheel drive vehicles with low-range gears only. Reduce your tyre pressure for soft sand. There is no facility to reinflate tyres on exit.
Beware of oncoming vehicles, narrow sections and blind corners along the track.
