Wedding Cake Rock

Wedding Cake Rock is a unique and scenic landmark located in the Royal National Park, near Bundeena, New South Wales, Australia.

This stunning sandstone rock formation, also known as White Rock, resembles a slice of a wedding cake and is suspended 25 meters above sea level.

To reach Wedding Cake Rock, visitors can take the Royal National Park Coast Track, a walking trail that spans the entire length of the park's coastline. The rock is situated 5.1 kilometers from the start of the trail at Bundeena. The track is accessible but can be challenging, so visitors should come prepared with water, comfortable shoes, and necessary precautions.

Wedding Cake Rock is a popular location for photography, offering striking views of the rock itself and the surrounding landscapes and coastlines. Nearby formations such as The Balcony (Bundeena Lookout) and the adjacent "White Cliffs" of Marley also provide great photo opportunities. A survey conducted the following month determined that the rock would eventually collapse into the Tasman Sea within the next decade. The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service advises visitors to respect the closure and avoid the area.
