My artistic journey is continuing to guide me into a deeper awareness of my surroundings locally and globally
I started practising Art in 2017 while living in Broome. In October 2018 I opened a small home Gallery to showcase my Art.
My practice is intuitive Abstract, Contemporary Landscape and a little Portraiture. I invite my art to arrive freely, which in turn opens me up to experiment with various mediums, styles and techniques, allowing me to create a new story on each canvas.
Predominantly working in Acrylics with the addition of soft pastels, Acrylic pen, Charcoal and Graphite powders, spray paint and inks.
My artistic approach involves multiple layers which are individually glazed to bring depth and harmony to each painting.
More often than not I will add pastes and gels into the layers of my paintings, giving that element of surprise within the story I love to feel and see the rough textures throughout my work accentuating the bold colours.
While mainly working on canvas/linen, I have recently enjoyed the use of cold pressed paper.
