Located in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, West Head Lookout offers impressive views of Sydney.
From the top, visitors can see Broken Bay to the left, Pittwater to the right, and Barrenjoey Headland and Lighthouse straight ahead. West Head is known for its spectacular vistas of the Hawkesbury River, Lion Island Nature Reserve, and Central Coast beaches. The lookout is a large sandstone viewing area with informative signs and designated seating areas. Nearby attractions include Resolute picnic area and the Aboriginal Heritage walk. The best time to visit is during the warmer, summer months. West Head Lookout is easily accessible by car or bus and ferry from Sydney.
