Reviews

"A feel-good, value-packed evening. Unmissable" Marnie S, Fringe Reacts, 2024

Presented by

Peter Barry

4 years ago, after years working as an engineer in the WA mining industry, Gudgeon Pinn wrote a song about a mining company having to deliberately crash a train to save a town in WA. This opened the floodgates and dozens of more songs with Western Australian themes have poured out of him in a continuous torrent ever since. He hopes performing them will bring some respite from the ongoing creative turmoil. He will be accompanied by WAAPA star Bethany O'Brien, an extremely talented Boorloo/Perth based singer and songwriter with a hauntingly beautiful voice. She will be performing her own original songs as well as providing her angelic vocals for many of the other original songs in the show.
