Whitianga Campground

Whitianga Campground is a traditional Kiwi campground located in Whitianga, New Zealand.

It is situated between a shallow river and beautiful NZ bush, with Buffalo Beach just across the road. The campground offers over 50 campsites, both powered and unpowered, as well as cabins and tourist flats. The campsites are spacious enough to accommodate tents, motorhomes, boats, and cars. The budget accommodation includes 6 cabins with kitchenettes, queen beds, and additional single or bunk beds. The tourist flats are self-contained units that can sleep up to 8 guests. All accommodation options come with a TV and seating area, and some offer private bathrooms.

Whitianga Campground provides various facilities for guests, including an internet kiosk, a shared kitchen, and a guest laundry. There is also a designated boat parking area, and kayaks can be launched directly into the river, which connects to Whitianga Harbour.
