Wild Horse Mountain Lookout Caboolture is a picturesque attraction located 30 kilometres north of Brisbane just off the Bruce Highway near Caboolture.
Named after the wild brumbies which roamed the area, Wild Horse Mountain boasts an elevation of 123 metres above sea level. The platform offers visitors an amazing 360-degree panoramic vista that stretches across Pumicestone Passage, and Bribie and Moreton Islands. The Glasshouse Mountains also add to the breathtaking view.
Visitors can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area, including the lush green forest that stretches beneath the lookout. On a clear day, it is also possible to see as far as Brisbane. Interpretive boards at the lookout provide insightful information about the features of the surrounding areas. It is a perfect spot to relax and unwind, and capture memorable photographs while enjoying the view.
Wild Horse Mountain Lookout is open all year round. Also, visitors are advised to bring their own belongings and a bottle of water, particularly when hiking to the lookout.
Wild Horse Mountain Lookout is conveniently located 30 kilometres north of Brisbane just off the Bruce Highway near Caboolture. Visitors can take their car and drive straight to the entrance of the attraction. Once they arrive, visitors can take a steep 700 metres paved uphill pathway to reach the lookout. The view at the top of the climb is well worth it. Upon arrival, visitors should take advantage of the benches to rest and relax while admiring the breathtaking view before heading back down to the car park.
