Description

Wittelbee Conservation Park, previously known as Wittelbee National Park, is a beautiful protected area located in South Australia.

It is situated along the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula, near Wittelbee Point and about 10 kilometers southeast of Ceduna. Covering an area of 1.7 square kilometers, the park is home to diverse flora and fauna. It gained protected area status in 1969 and was reconstituted as Wittelbee Conservation Park in 1972. The park was expanded in 1991 to include land between high tide and low tide levels.

Wittelbee Conservation Park offers several natural wonders, including samphire swamps and mallee vegetation along the coastal dune. Visitors can also enjoy sandy beaches and a low rocky headland. The park provides picnic areas that are popular among both locals and tourists, offering a serene and peaceful setting for family gatherings and picnics.

Categorized as an IUCN Category III protected area, Wittelbee Conservation Park was listed on the Register of the National Estate in 1980.
