Wood Pigeon Lodge

Wood Pigeon Lodge is a secluded accommodation located in Raurimu Spiral, New Zealand, near the Tongariro National Park and Whanganui River areas.

The lodge offers a peaceful and quiet environment with views of the surrounding volcanic, rural, and forest landscapes. Guests can wake up to the sound of tui and bellbirds from the private bush and neighboring conservation reserve. The lodge is an ideal base for all local summer and winter activities in the area.

Wood Pigeon Lodge offers three unique and cozy accommodation options with spectacular views. The Barn is a large accommodation unit that can accommodate up to 11 guests. It is a converted barn on four levels and is set in a peaceful rural environment but only 5 minutes’ drive from National Park Village. The Barn has two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, making it ideal for two or even three family groups to come together and share in the rural environment.

The Hut is a smaller accommodation unit with stunning views of all three volcanoes (Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, and Ruapehu). It is still just minutes from the cafés, bars, and ski-hire of National Park Village.

The Tree House is a cabin that offers seclusion and inspiration from its design and elevated bush setting. It sleeps five and has a stunning aspect that gives guests spectacular views of New Zealand’s native forest, the three beautiful volcanoes, and the Tepure trout stream far below.
