It offers shady well-spaced powered campsites and caravan sites amongst the trees, spacious cabins, a large four room eco-lodge, dorm rooms and basic safari tents. It is not a traditional caravan park, though it offers all of the necessary comforts of hot showers, flushing toilets and a camp kitchen. The lodge and cabins have their own bathrooms and kitchens and there is also a huge undercover area with barbeques, picnic tables, table tennis and an adjacent campfire pit for relaxing and gatherings.
Surrounded by a myriad of walking trails and sensational mountain bike trails, just two kilometres from the Margaret River town centre, Wharncliffe Mill offers a beautiful nature based eco-experience with a range of attractions and activities on your doorstep. Wharncliffe Mill generates its own power, harvests rain water off the old mill and has state of the art waste water treatment facilities to ensure minimal impact and to educate guests about the natural environment, whilst demonstrating best practice sustainable living.
Getting thereMargaret River is a 3 hour drive south of Perth. Wooditjup National Park is a short 5 minute walk from the Margaret River town centre.
Bush WalkingThere is a walk trail which begins at the Rotary Park in Wooditjup National Park.
10 Mile Brook cycle/walk Trail is a pleasant walk out to 10 Mile Brook Dam, named after the tiny brook that was dammed in the mid-1990s to create a new supply of water for the quickly growing Margaret River and other townships. Distance: 15km return Time: Allow 4 hours Class: Moderately Easy.
