Description
Wungong Regional Park is a natural sanctuary located in the Perth Hills, just 20 kilometers southeast of Perth, Western Australia.
It aims to preserve cultural heritage and valuable ecosystems while promoting sustainable recreational activities focused on wildlife and nature.
The park is composed of several reserves, including Wungong Gorge, a rugged and rocky area perfect for nature walks and hiking. Springdale and Victoria reservoirs provide opportunities for fishing and picnics, while Roleystone Bushland is full of endangered flora and fauna.
Visitors to the park can enjoy activities such as bushwalking on well-maintained trails that offer varying difficulty levels and panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Wildlife spotting is popular, with kangaroos, wallabies, and birdlife abundant in the park. Fishing is available at the Springdale and Victoria reservoirs, and picnicking can be enjoyed at the park's many picnic areas with tables and benches.
