Description
The coastal scenery of the Thomas River area, including the long, sweeping beach of Yokinup Bay, is a must see.
In the Thomas River area, where the park headquarters are situated, there are excellent camping facilities and several walks. There are two camp sites at Yokinup Mia Mia nestled in the midst of banksia woodland. Here you can spot many common birds, including a several kinds of honeyeaters if the banksias are in flower. The Thomas River estuary is also worth a look, particularly at the sandbar, where you may see a variety of waterbirds and waders including pied oystercatchers and crested terns.
