Far North Queensland aquariums

Tropical North Queensland is home to Australia's newest and most spectacular aquarium, Cairns Aquarium, providing visitors with a unique and immersive experience with the diverse aquatic life of the region, including fish, plants, and other organisms endemic to the reef and rainforest. The attraction boasts over 15,000 animals, fish, plants, and other organisms, with highlights such as the Deep Reef exhibit, the Oceanarium with an underwater tunnel, and touch and talk exhibitions featuring sea stars and fat. Additionally, visitors can participate in a turtle rehabilitation tour to learn about sea turtles' plight and the rescue process.

Moreover, guests can dine at Dundee's at the Cairns Aquarium, offering a meal surrounded by live salt and freshwater aquariums. For a more exclusive experience, the aquarium provides a guided after-hours tour called "Night at the Aquarium." Notably, Cairns Aquarium is the only aquarium globally that exclusively showcases the stunning aquatic wildlife from Tropical North Queensland's two World Heritage-listed areas.
