Artspace Mackay features three exhibition spaces, an artists' book reading pod, and a gift shop, along with an on-site café named Foodspace serving culinary creations for visitors.
Responsible for the Mackay Regional Council Art Collection, Artspace Mackay houses over 1,500 works of art, including prints, contemporary Indigenous artworks, ceramics, and a significant collection of Lyre Bird Press publications. The gallery provides various programs and events, including guided tours upon request. Recently, Artspace Mackay launched a collection digitization project in 2021, making over 500 works available online from the Mackay Regional Council Art Collection.
