Launceston Region automotive museums

The Launceston region in Tasmania is home to the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania (NAMT), featuring one of Australia's most significant motoring collections spanning over 100 years of style, technical achievement, design, engineering, and style. The museum's collection includes traditional design, engineering, and style, with some exhibits unique to the museum. Visitors can explore opulent Rolls-Royce, Bentleys, Mercedes-Benz, and Jaguars, along with the strange, unusual, practical, exotic, sedate, and speedy vehicles.

A highlight of the museum is "The Hall of Muscle," celebrating Australian muscle cars. Additionally, the museum offers a unique gift shop with a magnificent range of merchandise for automotive enthusiasts. The National Automobile Museum of Tasmania is open every day from 9 am to 5 pm (except Christmas Day), with winter opening times from 10 am to 4 pm. Car and motorhome parking is available on-site, and the museum features disability access throughout. Situated across from the Silo Hotel and Tasmania's largest children's playground, Riverbend Park, the museum provides an ideal way to spend a leisurely afternoon.
