Adelaide medical museums

Adelaide, South Australia, hosts two prominent medical and healthcare museums: the Vernon-Roberts Museum and the CALHN Health Museum. The Vernon-Roberts Museum, established in 2018, showcases a collection of over 2000 potted specimens, with about 400 on display, illustrating human diseases and anatomy. Open to staff and students Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, it also provides educational workshops for high school students in years 10 to 12. Through exhibits, educational programs, and public events, the museum aims to enhance understanding and appreciation of medical history among medical professionals, students, academics, and the public. Additionally, it offers research opportunities utilizing its artefacts, manuscripts, images, and library collections.
