Adelaide military museums

Adelaide, South Australia, is home to the Army Museum of South Australia (AMOSA), a unique attraction that showcases the history and heritage of the Australian Army. The museum is situated in a building that was originally constructed in 1912 as a stables building. Today, it houses the museum's galleries, which are supported by several other buildings on the base, providing facilities such as general storage, light engineering, library, and archival capacity.

A significant portion of the museum's workforce is made up of volunteers, some of whom are ex-Defence Force serving members. These volunteers work under the direction and supervision of an Australian Defence Force member. The museum is open to the general public and is also popular for school excursions and social club visits, with private tours available by arrangement.
