Berri Bamera national parks

South Australia's Riverland is home to several national parks, including Loch Luna and Moorook Game Reserves near Barmera, and Murray River National Park near Berri. Canoes and kayaks can be launched from campsites within the reserves, offering peaceful waterways and the chance to spot various bird species like herons and the rare white-bellied sea eagle.

Murray River National Park, located 22 km outside Berri, consists of three sections: Bulyong, Katarapko, and Gurra Gurra. The Katarapko section provides campsites for large and small groups and features Katarapko Creek, a prime fishing spot with native fish species like golden perch. The park spans over 14,879 hectares, offering a network of walking trails and a self-guided nature drive for visitors to explore.
