Wagga Wagga, a major regional city in New South Wales, Australia, is surrounded by an interesting railway history and attractions. The Main Southern Railway, a significant railway in New South Wales, runs from Sydney to Albury, near the Victorian border. Wagga Wagga is also home to the Willans Hill Model Railway, located in the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens. The museum features a vast collection of photographs and railway memorabilia depicting the local history, the Wagga Wagga Rail Heritage Gang Sheds housing tools and photographs of the railway history, and the Wagga Wagga Rail Heritage Model Trains with several model train displays. In addition to the museum, visitors can walk across the railway pedestrian bridge to see the New South Wales Government Railways and Tramways Roll of Honor. This monument is dedicated to the employees of the New South Wales railways who served in World War I.
