Devonport science museums

The Devonport region in Tasmania is home to Hive Tasmania, which houses the state's only Science Centre on Level 2. The Science Centre showcases local stories of scientific success and provides insight into Tasmania's scientific achievements.

Hive Tasmania offers more than just science attractions. On Level 1, visitors can explore the Museum, now in a new location, displaying a collection of artifacts. The venue is also home to Tasmania's largest Planetarium, featuring captivating shows on Tuesdays to Saturdays at 2 pm.

Art enthusiasts can visit the Art Gallery at Hive Tasmania on Level 1, with rotating exhibitions from local artists. Studio One on Level G hosts workshops and programs, while Studio Two is the base for Leven Regional Arts and their workshop schedule. The North West Woodcraft Guild operates in the workshop on Level G, open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

To complete the experience, the Hive Café offers a delightful dining experience at the Seventy Acres Espresso Bar Café on Level G, open daily from 8 am to 2 pm.
