Diamantina swimming holes

The Diamantina Region in Queensland features several stunning swimming spots perfect for a refreshing dip and a memorable experience. The top swimming spots in the area include the Rock Slides in Paluma Range National Park, offering amazing swimming holes just a short walk from the car park in Nolands Gully. Another popular spot is the Beach in Wyandra, located on the Warrego River just outside the town, approximately 100km north of Cunnamulla.

Conn Waterhole, the first permanent waterhole in the Diamantina system, is roughly 60km west of Winton. To reach Conn Hole from Winton, travelers can head west on the Landsborough Highway, A2, for 4.9km, then turn left onto Kennedy Developmental Road 62 for 50km before turning left to Conn Hole. Amamoor Creek, a tranquil creek running alongside the Cedar Grove camping area in the Amamoor State Forest, offers a serene swimming spot, while the nearby Flat Rock Swimming Hole provides another picturesque location for a refreshing dip.

In Canarvon Gorge (Canarvon National Park), visitors can enjoy the Rock Pool, the only designated swimming hole in the area. Situated in a stunning gorge setting, the Rock Pool offers a rejuvenating experience in its cool waters, allowing visitors to explore the natural beauty of the surroundings.
