The Yankalilla region in South Australia is home to a variety of stunning swimming spots and beaches that are popular among visitors. Lady Bay Beach, situated between Normanville Beach and Marina St Vincent, boasts a rocky reef ideal for crabbing and is known for being the site of the ex-HMAS Hobart dive wreck. Second Valley Beach, famous for its scenic views and unique geological formations, offers opportunities for swimming, jetty fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving on its sandy eastern beach and long boulder beach with rock reefs on the western side.
Carrickalinga Beach and Myponga Beach in the region feature wonderful shore reefs just meters from the shoreline, making them great spots for snorkeling. Additionally, the ex-HMAS Hobart dive wreck can be found nearby in Yankalilla Bay. While Ingalalla Falls near Normanville are not suitable for swimming due to agricultural runoff, these waterfalls are still worth a visit for their scenic beauty. Deep Creek Conservation Park, accessible only by 4WD, offers an unspoiled dive site where visitors can observe crayfish, seals, and Leafy and Weedy Sea Dragons.
