The Ipswich Nature Centre, located within Queens Park in Ipswich, offers a fantastic opportunity to experience Australian native wildlife up close. With over 42 species and around 200 animals in care, the center showcases animals such as dingoes, bilbies, wallabies, and water dragons. The center features fenced boardwalks, over 40 species of animals, free entry (Gold coin donation appreciated), toilets directly outside the Centre (including disabled access and nappy change), wheelchair accessible paths, shaded paths, plenty of parking, and is suitable for all ages.
The Ipswich Nature Centre is open 6 days a week, Tuesday – Sunday from 9:30 am until 4 pm, and 7 days a week during school holidays. The center is also surrounded by beautiful gardens, a café, and the Japanese Nerima Gardens within Queens Park. To ensure a great experience for all visitors, the center has a few entry conditions, such as not feeding the animals and staying on the provided paths.
