Padthaway wineries

The Padthaway Wine Region, located at the northern entrance to the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, is home to some of Australia's most extraordinary wines. The region boasts a growing number of smaller, regionally branded wine producers, in addition to the brands produced by major companies. There are over 28 vignerons in the region, with a focus on growing grapes for their own regionally branded labels and for sale to other wine companies.

The climate in Padthaway can be described as Mediterranean, with a considerable emphasis on red wines, particularly Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Some of the notable wine producers in the area include Browns of Padthaway, Bryson Wines, Cardiness, Farmer's Leap, Landaire at Padthaway Estate, and Oparina Wines.

The region is known for producing polished red and white wines, with over 400 tasting notes available for exploration. Visitors to the area can enjoy the experience of two cellar doors operating in Padthaway, with many other wines produced in the area available for tasting by appointment.

Additionally, the region offers accommodation, taverns, and stunning vineyard views, making it a great meeting point for enjoying a day out with family and friends.
