Bundaberg zoos

Bundaberg, Queensland, is home to the Alexandra Park Zoo, established in 1911 and one of the oldest continuously running zoological facilities in the state. The zoo, located next to Alexandra Park on the corner of Quay and Burrum Street, is just 1.4 km from the town center. It is a free, council-run facility accredited by the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA), showcasing a modest collection of animals including monkeys, dingoes, lizards, snakes, and birds.

Alexandra Park, surrounding the zoo, offers a shady space with picnic tables, barbecues, and playground equipment, making it an ideal destination for a family outing. The zoo operates from Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, and during Queensland school holidays, it is open 7 days a week.
