The Makatote Viaduct is a remarkable railway bridge located in the northern Manawatu-Whanganui region of the central North Island of New Zealand. It spans the Makatote River and is situated between Erua and Pokaka. The viaduct was built between 1905 and 1908 for the Public Works Department (PWD), who passed it to New Zealand Railways Department (NZR) in 1909.
